Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure
TLI37122 Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure is a general qualification for a person who performs a broad range of skilled tasks in the rail infrastructure environment. Work may involve discretion and judgement when selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and may include coordinating the work of others.
The qualification requires four core units and seven electives. Participants select a specialist elective group and any additional electives needed to satisfy the packaging rules.
This program delivers the seven core units from TLI27121 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure. It does not, by itself, complete the full qualification. Participants who successfully complete the program receive a Statement of Attainment for the units achieved.
Further electives may be selected from other specialist groups or the general elective bank to bring the total to 11 units. Calibre will confirm a compliant selection that suits the participant’s role and workplace.
Delivery and assessment arrangements are confirmed with each participant or employer before enrolment. The final program will reflect the training product requirements, participant experience, workplace access, available equipment and the practical evidence required for assessment.
Calibre may use a combination of trainer-led learning, workplace activities, practical demonstration, questioning, written tasks and evidence gathered in an appropriate work environment. The delivery method, expected duration and assessment requirements will be set out in the applicable course information and enrolment documentation.
Before enrolment, Calibre will confirm whether the program is suitable for the participant. This may include reviewing existing competencies, language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills, physical or operational requirements, prerequisite units, access to a suitable workplace, plant or equipment, and any identification, PPE, medical or rail-network requirements.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Separate RIW, network, operator, medical or employer requirements may apply to the intended role.
